Hi, my name is Alex Cheek. I'm a lead plumbing technician for True Plumbers. Well, I was born and raised in Michigan. I have three kids, married. When I'm not plumbing, I am uh I'm golfing if I can or, you know, just spending time with the kids because this is, you know, this is the type of job that takes a lot of like personal time. Every single day is, you know, a different challenge. I get to solve issues that a lot of people that know, you don't know how to do. I get to always use my mind and and work on puzzles or have to figure out a a solution to not a common issue. So, I evaluate, diagnose, and help customers every day with plumbing issues. Working at True to Me is, you know, that self-gratification to help everyday people that run into these emergencies or plumbing issues that they don't have a lot of common knowledge in. And I'm Alex G and I'm your true plumber.

What "lead technician" actually means
In a plumbing company, "lead" is not a seniority sticker - it is a job. Lead techs take the calls where the diagnosis is genuinely unclear, mentor newer technicians in the field, and get pulled in when a job turns out to be bigger than it looked. Alex's line about using his mind is the honest job description: on a hard call, the wrench work is the last 20 percent; the first 80 is figuring out what is actually wrong, in a system you cannot see, from evidence like sounds, stains, and pressure readings.
